Los Angeles' BLEND\STORIES Store Launches Kitmen Keung

BLEND\STORIES is initiated by the founders of BLEND Magazine and ILOVEFAKE Magazine. Both magazines have been an international stage for designers, artists and photographers for more than 10 years and built successful collaborations with brands, creatives, bloggers, stylists and media outlets worldwide.

“For us, it’s more about if we want to be the pioneers of the new retail future, we need to do it with STORIES brands. This is a strategic move for us. Consumers don’t shop mono-brands, they shop multi-brands. They don’t come out of a store and say, ‘Oh I just shopped at a mono-brand’ or ‘Oh I just shopped at a boutique.’ They just shop where they feel like shopping,” said Jurriaan Bakker, Founder of BLEND\STORIES, “we bring back the authenticity of buying goods that are unique and made-to-order. We have a global mission and aim to reap the benefits of the ‘global village’ that we are living in today for our customers."

David Adjaye Purchased LD 1.0 - G

“I think it’s a really beautiful design and it’s an incredible reduction for somebody like myself who travels a lot. It gives me one time zone which is GMT, which I’m always on, and gives me another which I move to and those are the two worlds I need. It removes all that sort of clutter that you get on chronographs and Rolexes. It’s a beautiful watch.”

For me a watch is something I use as a piece of jewelry and also something that gives me a very quick graphic. I realize that for me a watch is a very intuitive thing, it’s about dimensions and proportions and the physicality of movement.”
